The animals’ feeding had already finished by the time we arrived, since it only happens once a day. The horse rides were also very limited for the number of visitors there, with too few horses and really long lines. There wasn’t enough guidance or supervision for the kids either. A few things were available, including food, catch and release fishing, foosball, and arcade games, but those other activities fell short. The foam bath looked like a big, well set up attraction in the photos and videos, but in person it was pretty basic. Several areas also didn’t match what the social media posts led me to expect. Getting there was difficult too. The directions were sparse, and there were points where we had to pick between unmarked dirt roads. Internet often doesn’t work in the area, which made finding the place harder. The road was narrow and full of potholes and cattle grids, and even had a stream crossing. My day use visit fell well short of the expectations created by the social media promotion. I got the feeling that the place looks much more appealing online than it does in person. While we waited in line, I heard several other visitors say the same thing. I hope this is taken as constructive criticism, because I think the place has potential, but its advertising needs to match the experience it actually offers.

The place itself is pleasant, the food was good quality, and the employees were polite and helpful. But it was very crowded, especially the pools. When we left, we went to pay for the one beer we’d had and found that the tab had already been closed. The cashier asked a woman who seemed to be the owner or manager about it. In front of me, she was extremely rude to the employee, questioned whether I’d only had one beer, and said she’d take what happened out of all the employees’ pay. Because of that person’s behavior, I can’t recommend the place. I don’t know whether she’s the owner or the manager.

We had a great May 1st holiday at Hotel Fazenda Coninho for Day Use. My wife and I went with our two children, and the activities for kids were the highlight. Our 10-year-old spent almost the whole day playing and loved meeting and feeding the farm animals, including chickens, goats, pigs, rabbits, tortoises, and the friendly mini cow. While the boys had fun, we enjoyed the pools, which were at a great temperature, and excellent live music that made the atmosphere really pleasant. The food was plentiful and tasty, with that familiar seasoning we love. One thing to know if you’re following GPS: the final stretch is a somewhat narrow dirt road, and the navigation took us through a section that crossed a stream. It was an unexpected little adventure, but driving through was easy and caused no trouble. We had a very enjoyable holiday, and I recommend it to families looking for a welcoming place.

I wouldn’t say the place is bad, but its facilities and attractions don’t quite live up to the expectations its promotion creates. On Instagram it looks like a complete birthday cake, while in person it’s more like a cupcake, attractive at first glance but much smaller and simpler than you expected. There’s a significant gap between what’s advertised and what you actually get.
