The staff are lovely, and the location is hard to beat, right across from one of Brazil’s most stunning, clean, quiet beaches. The seawater itself isn’t clean. The price feels fair for the quality of the building, furnishings, and amenities, though those could be improved. Try the farofa at breakfast. It’s unusual for Europeans, but really tasty and filling. Highly recommend.

Our room was plain but a good size. I’ve read a lot about the seawater being polluted, and that put me off going in. Maybe it’s no different from other Brazilian cities, but I can’t say for sure.

The location is good, but the rooms REEK OF MOLD!

The beach was polluted, and there was no service. I asked for hot water and they said there was no kitchen. It’s very expensive for a place with no service at all, more than any hotel I’ve stayed in. The worst place I’ve ever been.
