Flat Biarritz - Ferreira Hospedagens

The bed was excellent, and the whole place felt cozy, charming, and smelled lovely. The reception team were attentive and helpful, and I felt very welcome. I'd come back without hesitation. Kudos to the staff, and I'm not getting anything for saying this, I just wanted to show my gratitude.

This was simply a terrible stay. The sofa bed was broken, the TV barely worked, and there was no TV in the living room. The air conditioner only cooled the room a little, and the bathroom nearly flooded whenever we showered. There were also several little cockroaches in the room. Room 1004 should have been closed for pest control and repairs. I only took this room because I had an urgent work commitment and the room I'd booked earlier at the same place wasn't ready on time. At 2 pm, housekeeping still hadn't arrived to clean the rooms. At 2:40 pm, they said she'd take another 20 minutes to get there. The worst place I've ever stayed, and an awful experience.

The staff are the saving grace of these flats. I can't recommend apartment 804: everything was poorly maintained, starting with the badly worn pots. The old TV only worked when it felt like it, and they moved us to apartment 502, which seemed better. It still needs a proper paint job, or rather, repairs.

We stayed in flat 501 for 10 days and had a really good experience. The apartment was clean, had the basics we needed, and I liked the view. The building is old but well maintained and in a convenient location, and the reception staff were always helpful. Parking is the one downside: there aren't enough spaces for all the apartments. Sometimes the basement was full when we got back, and there were no spaces out front either. They could improve that.
