Chalés Palhano Beach ER Hospedagens

We left before our February 6-9 reservation was over because the place wasn't fit to stay in. It was easily the worst accommodation I've had. Water came through the ceiling during the night and soaked the sofa bed where my mother was sleeping, so three adults had to share one double bed. Water also came in through the door. There wasn't even a floor cloth, and we got no help from the person in charge. The facilities were awful, the room smelled very strong and unpleasant, and there was a little frog in the toilet. The owner, Sr. Jhonatan, was extremely rude. We asked for a refund for the unused nights, but he refused and then stopped answering our WhatsApp messages. This place is completely unsuitable for accommodation.

The location was awful, in the middle of the woods, with red dirt in front because of several construction sites. There was also a cockroach. Rain came into the room, with lots of water running down the wall and dark water dripping onto the bed where my mother was sleeping. The ceiling was plastic. Three adults ended up in one bed, and we left in under 24 hours despite booking five days with family. The pousada offered no help, and the owner blocked me and stopped taking calls. They also charge a 500 reais fine if you play music, even quietly, but that wasn't mentioned when booking on Booking. I didn't get a refund or any assistance, just a rude owner who blocked me. The worst experience of my vacation. I do not recommend this place under any circumstances.

The beach is quite close, which is the one good thing about this place. The accommodation is below average, very dark and run-down, and the staff are unfriendly and don't greet guests. The photos make it look better than it is.

Booking through WhatsApp was easy, the person handling it was attentive, and we got a great price. We were welcomed well, and the chalet was otherwise clean, with barbecue utensils and a lovely wooden hammock on the porch. The fridge was the exception, very dirty inside with hair and dust. Since the other chalets were empty, it would have been more thoughtful to put us somewhere with no neighbors. The family with a child next door kept passing through our porch area, and the chalets' porches are very visible to each other, so we had little privacy. The location wasn't great either. The road is muddy and full of potholes, and the route to the beach is complicated, leading to a dead end blocked by construction walls. Overall, it's good value, but more porch privacy and a cleaner fridge would make a difference.
