The place itself is really beautiful, just like the photos, and the staff treated us very well. But the stay was rough. The shower wasn't working when we arrived and took the team a few hours to fix. Then the power went out the next day and stayed off from 8 in the morning until the following day. It rained all day in São Miguel, so we couldn't shower, charge our phones, or watch TV. At 9 p.m. they sent us to another one of their hotels, taboo, so we could sleep somewhere with electricity. We were checking out the next day, and breakfast there arrived an hour and a half late, with two of the things we'd requested on the form missing. We booked the package through CVC. Breakfast at the original place was a letdown too: instead of a buffet, you fill out a form choosing between things like bread or tapioca and juice or water, which really limits how much you can have. It wasn't a good experience.

The room looked lovely, felt new, and was clean and tidy, with good towels and linens. Still, the bed was tiny. I'm only 1.5 m tall and my feet hung off the end, so I can imagine how it was for my husband. The little pool by the chalet was cold, full of leaves, and felt a bit neglected, with no real atmosphere around it. Breakfast has to be booked in advance. We chose 8:30 and picked our food beforehand, but it still came half an hour late, making us rush for a tour we'd already scheduled. The hotel is nice and close to the beach, but at about 850.00 a night, I don't think the value is there. Would I go back? Probably not.

I paid in full for an executive room for Friday the 14th with my girlfriend. Since we planned to leave late, I called to say we'd arrive either late Friday or on Saturday. On Friday night, they messaged to confirm Saturday breakfast. We ended up arriving Saturday, only to be told they'd overbooked and had just a standard room available. They said they'd refund the difference, but after we left, they messaged saying we should sort it out with Booking. The management was awful. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The rooms are spacious, with a sitting area, and the whole place was clean and well kept. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were so attentive and thoughtful that our stay felt really pleasant. It's a great spot for a quiet break, with Praia do Riacho just a five-minute walk away. A car is a good idea because there are no ride apps in Milagres. If you find a driver, they may ask to arrange the trip off the app at a high price. Check beach costs before ordering: some places charge day use or chair rental, sometimes $50.00 per person, and may also have a minimum spend. The inn has a lot going for it, though the access road badly needs work. It's unpaved, a little hidden, and poorly lit.
