The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. That’s what earned the three stars, otherwise it would have been one. I was there for work and couldn’t ask my company to move me. I complained to reception and got no reply, so I swept the room myself with the broom provided. Room 23 wasn’t clean when I arrived. They’d just sprayed perfume, and the dishes were dusty and poorly washed. The sheets hadn’t been changed, though the towels were clean, and everything else smelled heavily of perfume. There were cockroaches by the building entrance, and the corridors were dirty. The shower pipe was crooked, sending water at the shower wall. Every day at 5 in the morning, someone downstairs banged loudly on the shop’s metal door as they opened it. My window faced the avenue, so I could hear everything.

The street outside was covered in garbage and had a bad smell, with feces and people living on the street. It felt extremely dangerous to walk there. There’s a nightclub nearby, and on Saturday nights the bass made it impossible to sleep. I literally had to stay awake all night because of the noise. My apartment windows faced the neighboring building, leaving the place in shade all the time. It was damp and constantly cold. I don’t recommend this building.

If you want to rent from a backyard operation with no guarantees about anything, go with them.

As a foreigner, I found them unhelpful and difficult to deal with. The pre-check-in wouldn’t let me continue because my address wasn’t in Brazil, so I couldn’t get through the process. WhatsApp customer service was poor too.
