Blue Tree Premium Faria Lima

The staff were great and always went above and beyond. I was on the 25th floor, and the hotel is in a great location. Breakfast was basic, though they make a good omelet if you ask. The pool area wasn't inviting: it didn't look clean in my photos, and there was no outdoor shower to rinse off before getting in. In my room, the AC pointed at the bed, and the fan was loud even on its lowest setting.

Luana at reception was the bright spot: very, very friendly and helpful. The hotel's central location was good too. Otherwise, the stay was disappointing and far below what I expected for this part of Sao Paulo. The rooms urgently need renovation. My bed and most of the room were clean, except for the bathroom, though that was only if you didn't look closely at corners or curtains. Almost everything in my room was damaged or broken: bathroom wall hooks were loose or broken, sockets were loose, both bedside lamps were loose, and there was a lot of mold in the bathroom. The elevator maintenance was scheduled at rush hour in the morning, which made me question the management. One morning, I and other guests waited over 15 minutes while routine work was done at 7:30 instead of during the day. Three stars for Luana and the location, otherwise one.

The staff were very good, and the restaurant has a pretty nice buffet each morning, with some good dinner options too. It's a decent choice on Faria Lima, within walking distance of many offices. There weren't many rooms left, so I stayed in a basic one. It was clean but felt a little old.

I've been to São Paulo many times, and this is my favorite place to stay. The price is good compared with other places, and everything feels perfect. Head up to the rooftop for the nice pool and to watch helicopters arrive and leave as they drop people off. Pretty cool.
