Charlie Atmosfera Santo Amaro

This was my second time staying in an apartment managed by Charlie, and this room was even better than the first. It was beautiful, clean, and well organized, with closed cabinets and a large bathroom. Perfect! The new building is lovely too, with a gym, pool, games room, pantry, and a spacious reception area. I really loved it and would happily recommend the place.

The main surprise was finding about six flies in the bathroom. The electronic lock also failed, leaving my daughter outside, and the doorman said it sometimes wouldn't open. With this self-service setup, they need better tech and remote support. WhatsApp replies take too long, and if you're locked out, you can be left standing outside waiting for help. The website and Booking don't make it clear that this Charlie is in a residential building. I was told reception couldn't be accessed before 3 PM, so if you arrive earlier, you have to wait outside. There isn't a luggage room either, so I had to carry my bags around after checkout. The place is new and modern, but the photos are misleading about the smallest apartment. They make it look like there's normal space to move around. The entrance door opens right over the bathroom door and fridge, and even a shoe left nearby can stop it opening. I don't know where you'd put a large suitcase.

Good location, and though it's a little small, it feels cozy. Everything was clean and up to Charlie's usual standard. I'd recommend it.

We had a lovely stay. We couldn't get an early check-in a few hours ahead, but as soon as a room became available, they let us know and got us in quickly. The place was organized, modern, well located, and great for our short stay during The Town!
