For a long layover, it's cheap and more than okay for spending the night. The location is good too, about fine minutes on foot from the airport. I was told it was safe to walk there at 4am, but honestly I got scared twice. It's São Paulo. At that hour, I'd recommend taking an Uber, which should be very, very cheap.

A safe-feeling spot, with a market, pharmacy, and bakery on the next street. Congonhas Airport's check-in area is a 10-minute walk away, which makes this a great option when you're heading out on a trip or just arriving. Dereck was really nice and attentive. Wishing him success!

Read the negative reviews. There's no 24-hour reception, and they don't seem to mind leaving you waiting outside on the street. Even when staff are there, they won't let you in to use the bathroom, despite your having paid for a reservation.

Hostel Congonhas is a great find if you're after a reasonably priced hostel with good rooms near the airport. It's so close to Congonhas Airport that it would only be nearer if it were inside the airport itself, which was a pleasant surprise. The owner replies to messages very quickly and gives guests an access code, but still comes out to welcome them. You can park on the street, and there's a small market right next door, a bakery close by, and a few restaurants.
