I've never had a worse hotel experience in the last 10 years. There was no reception or staff to help guests, and although the hotel is in Lisbon, the service was in English and nobody spoke Portuguese. I spent 60 minutes trying to open the door with no one there to help. WhatsApp said someone would assist in 5 minutes, then took 20 minutes just to say hello.

There was loose wood coming away from the building wall while I was moving in, and the property looked badly run down, with clear signs of poor maintenance. The condition of the place was disappointing. I also had a very unpleasant exchange with the person in charge when I tried to discuss a problem from the move. They shouted at me and were rude and disrespectful, turning it into an aggressive, embarrassing confrontation instead of calmly trying to sort it out. Even basic things were difficult. At one point I was told I couldn't call someone to fix or install my own internet if that person wasn't acceptable to the person in charge. Between the state of the building and the way residents were treated, I wouldn't recommend living here.

I was nervous after a bad stay in São Paulo's República neighborhood, where I was practically in Cracolândia, but Brás felt very calm. I've stayed here and would choose the same place again. The receptionists and security guards were polite and friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The price is great for what you get. There's no garage, but nearby parking lots let you leave your car, usually for 30,00 every 12 hours. There are snack bars and a restaurant close by, and plenty of iFood options if you don't want to go out at night. Stay here without worrying.
