For a fair price, you get a place with character and a young vibe near Avenida Paulista. I would definitely come back, though there are things that could work better. The shared areas feel too limited for the number of guests, with only a small reception and a few corridor tables. Around shower time, staff talked loudly and kept all the bathroom showers occupied for ages. The fridge was marked for staff only, too. Since employees seemed to be around the hostel all day, even off shift, things felt pretty disorganized. The staff were all Argentinians, which had me wondering more than once if I was in São Paulo or Buenos Aires.

This hostel has become my regular stop whenever I'm in São Paulo, and I'm glad I found it. It's clean and pleasant, the hosts are kind and helpful, and after I was robbed, they helped me with everything. The owner teaches at a university and organizes cultural trips in Brasil and across Latinamerica, so it draws globetrotters and adventurous people. You can check out @imaginabusamericano. Portuguese, Spanish, and English are spoken here. The hostel is close to the city center, with access to V.I.P. parties downtown, three supermarkets on nearby blocks, and three brasilian cafes just around the corner.

A clean, safe hostel with friendly staff. Vito was especially helpful, and the only one who spoke English 😅. I'd definitely recommend it.

The hostel is in a very good location and feels like a good deal for what I paid. July is winter, so the room felt a little cold, but at that price I can't complain.

The owners are so lovely and make your stay feel special. Imagina Hostel is also in a fantastic spot. If you can, be there on Sunday and visit Avenida Paulista. Obrigado gente!
