The hotel is clean and very well located, within walking distance of a museum, art gallery, mall, pharmacies, convenience stores, restaurants, and the metro. But it doesn't live up to its star rating. The doors and carpet are old, although the rooms have floors instead of carpet, which helps. It could use renovations to stay in demand.

The hotel itself was nice, but neither the internet nor the air conditioner worked. I called several times every day, and nothing improved. They said they'd speak to the manager about lowering the price, but never did, and charged me full price at checkout. I've been home for a month and tried several times to sort it out, but they haven't responded. It was an expensive stay and the worst customer service I've had at any hotel. I need internet when traveling for business, and this disrupted my trip. I won't make that mistake again. I didn't want to leave a negative review, but Intercity hasn't replied, so I feel I should warn others. If this is how Intercity operates, I won't stay at any of their properties again and will encourage others to avoid them.

The hotel has a pleasant look and a good location, but I can't recommend staying here after a week of problems. There was hair in the bed when I arrived, and the sheets were never changed. A red stain on one pillowcase stayed there from my first day through checkout. Construction made it almost impossible to stay in the room during the day, with hammering and banging until 8-9 PM. The noise made it hard to relax or hold a conversation. I have videos, but restrictions prevent me from uploading them here. Soundproofing was nonexistent: I heard conversations in neighboring rooms, banging after 11 PM, and loud footsteps from upstairs. My room was beside the staff storage area, so cleaning carts and staff conversations disturbed me throughout the day. There was only one electrical outlet, no USB charging, and without an adapter there was no way to charge or connect devices. The wardrobe was just a rod with a few hangers, no drawers or other storage for things that couldn't be hung. The window locks were worn and partly broken, which raised security concerns because someone might be able to open the window from outside. The AC didn't work at all, and one elevator was out of service during my stay.

The location is the only reason this gets two stars. We saw negative reviews before arriving, and unfortunately had the same kind of disappointment. This is nowhere near a four-star hotel. Our room needed basic maintenance, with parts of the decor falling off the walls and AC leaking onto the floor. We also found dried blood on the bedding. Getting a late checkout as a goodwill gesture took five staff members and five days. They kept saying it was on our account, then the next person on duty would deny it had ever been offered. Ridiculous. We'll stay away and recommend you do too.
