JS Hostel

I’m staying in a private room and sharing the bathroom. The room is cozy and really cute, with a balcony, and the Wi-Fi is good. There’s even a barbecue, though sadly I won’t have time to use it. Diego (host) welcomed us so warmly. It’s in a quiet residential area, very close to Vila Madalena metro, with bakeries and restaurants nearby and plenty of bus routes, so getting around shouldn’t be a problem. I recommend it!

The location is easy to reach, with bars, restaurants, the metro, and more nearby. But I didn’t like finding hair and stains on the bedsheet, and the bathroom was a bit dirty. The dog shed fur everywhere, went into the rooms, and barked nonstop, so it was hard to sleep peacefully. The air conditioner was noisy too.

I loved the place and the staff were great, especially the lovely woman who helped me at reception. The location was great too. My only problem was a roommate who snored so loudly, I’m sure he must have had a tractor inside him. There’s no way someone could snore like that.

I stayed for almost a year, so I can say it’s one of the best chill-out hostels to stay at. There’s no partying, just a peaceful place where you can sleep quietly, with good facilities and very friendly service.
