Kambô Guest House

I'm very satisfied with the price and would absolutely recommend it. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the people were really nice. The only thing I didn't like was the door between my room and another one, since we could hear the other guests. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures.

I only stayed one night at Comfort Nova Paulista. The room was clean and had a good shower with hot water for a relaxing bath. There was a 32-inch LCD screen, though I didn't use it. The air conditioning remote didn't work, so I couldn't turn the unit off. Breakfast was good and included in my reservation. I have no complaints, but I've stayed in better hotels, so I can't give it five stars.

After I got Covit, I felt I was treated very unfairly, almost like a prisoner. The hotel doesn't have a clear COVIT policy, and management needs more training. My room stopped being cleaned, so I had to ask every day for clean towels and bedding, and for plastic bags to take my room trash outside. I called to order food, but the phone wasn't working and they didn't fix it, so I had to go speak to them. The manager told me not to talk to them, so I used my cellphone to contact reception and the restaurant. Food took an hour to arrive and was always missing something. More concerning, they left it on the floor instead of on a cart, as they'd said they would. I wanted to check out, but then I tested negative. I also remember the manager asking to see my doctor's papers, which felt like an invasion of my privacy and none of his business. I checked out and will never go back.

The Metro station is just a few minutes' walk away, and there are parks and art museums you can get to on foot or by taxi, about 6-8 minutes and 12 Real. Across the road there are a couple of nice bars and a bicycle café. It's a lovely place for a casual stay, with clean, comfortable rooms, welcoming and helpful staff, good breakfast, plus a small gym and outdoor pool.
