The pool area was nothing like the photos, and the hotel itself felt sterile and clinical, much older than it looked online. The AC was broken. A repairman came straight into my room while I was naked without knocking, and didn't fix it. It was 30 degrees at night, so I couldn't sleep. They also took money from my card after telling me the card hold had been cancelled. They're liars too!

The check-in staff were very good, but the hotel is old and needs renovating, and the parking arrangements are a disaster and totally disrespectful. A week after my stay, I was charged for two minibar beers I hadn't had. They replied to my complaint once, then stopped responding. The incorrect charge was never reversed, and I got no further reply.

This used to be a good hotel, but it isn't anymore. We're checking out tomorrow. We paid for a King Suite w/balcony, but the bathroom ceiling was covered in black mold, the toilet was broken, and there was a humming noise over the bed that wasn't the A/C. They promised an upgrade, but we only wanted another room in the same class. We told them not to move our bags while we were at lunch. When we returned, they said we'd been upgraded and had put our bags in the new room because new guests were in our old room, 2202, with the mold. Room 1104 wasn't an upgrade. It was smaller, though renovated, with a view of another building instead of the previous view, plus traffic noise. After dinner, our card wasn't set up properly for the elevator. Once they reprogrammed it, it still wouldn't open the room door. When an employee named Lucas showed us alternative rooms, he had to kick one door open because it was jammed shut. My wife said she wasn't going to kick the door every time we entered.

I was traveling solo from Canada and felt very safe walking alone in this upscale neighborhood at night. There are incredible restaurants and bars nearby. The staff were attentive and ready to help, and my clean, spacious room had a great city view from the balcony. I also loved the beautiful lobby and rooftop, and used the gym and sauna every day. Really enjoyed my stay, thank you!
