Option Hotel São Paulo - Anhembi - Expo

Good value and a great place.

Lego.

I was there from 27/08 to 30/08. My stay was supposed to continue through 31/08, but after my course I went straight home and refused to set foot in the hotel again. The location is very good, close to lots of shops and Distrito Anhembi, where the event I attended was held. The event ended late at night. One night, I came back alone to find the door shut and had to wait for the receptionist to let me in. I waited, but I made the mistake of offering a suggestion: most guests were there for the same event and would be returning late, so perhaps they could leave the door open or have someone downstairs manage access, since it was dangerous there at night and women could be at risk. The employee got angry and started yelling at me. The next day, when I reported it to the day-shift receptionist, she didn't listen either. It almost turned into an argument, and she told me the rules wouldn't change because of me, even though I was only making a suggestion! I was also told I had to pay 50% upfront to secure my reservation or lose it. I booked through Booking, and the information said payment would be made at check-in. I received that message twice before arriving at the hotel. The whole place was dirty, with lots of dust, toothpaste residue all over the bathroom, and a stuffy, closed-up smell throughout the hotel. There wasn't a decent blanket, only throws, and the pillows were like paper. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me!!!!

The listing promised one thing, but the stay was different. It showed breakfast included, yet there was none. I was told I should have said I planned to eat breakfast because they were renovating. Guests coming from another state can't be expected to know rules no one has explained. The bathroom was tiny.
