OYO Pousada Classic

The staff seemed unprepared. I ordered breakfast for my girlfriend and me, but they charged us for two individual breakfasts instead of one for a couple. The items were the same, served together on the same tray. When I asked them to explain and refund the difference, the employee started arguing and raised her voice. She didn’t contact the manager or owners for guidance, and decided on her own that nothing could be done, blaming the employee from the day before. Very unprepared, and I can’t recommend the place.

The hotel was clean and organized, and for the price it was fine for the one night I needed before my visa appointment. But it was the coldest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I was there during winter in SP. My room had no outside window, only one facing the corridor. I was near the entrance, where people talked loudly, so I couldn’t even take an afternoon nap.

It’s strange to hear you talk about respecting the rules when, on several of my stays, I woke up to guests arriving in the early morning making a racket, and dogs barking in the morning, with no one telling them off. To be clear, I never broke the rules or got warned for anything like that. Maybe the issue is personal. So don’t tell me you disagree, because the problem isn’t the rules, it’s staff who seem unprepared. They don’t even say good morning, hang up before the call is over, and bring breakfast while looking annoyed. Taking criticism can help improve the place, and the owner should reconsider how professional the employees are. That’s all.

I found the hotel online and stayed just one night. It’s simple, but everything was clean. There are grocery shops, a bakery and a pharmacy nearby, plus cable TV, free wifi and a hot shower. If you’re staying more nights, I’d bring your own pillow because theirs were a little uncomfortable. That’s my only aside. We left all our things at the hotel and nothing was disturbed. I forgot my coat and a cushion when we left, emailed them, and they sent both by Sedex. They arrived the next day, and I made the deposit. All sorted.
