The apartment itself is in a very good location, but I don’t recommend staying in apartment 708, owned by Rômulo. The listing clearly promised a double bed and a sofa bed. In reality, the sofa didn’t open and was just a regular sofa. I booked based on having a sofa bed, and when I contacted the owner, he confirmed it was only a normal sofa. The listing didn’t describe the apartment accurately and misled guests. I also contacted the Airbnb help center and spoke with an employee named Wesley. He said there was no discrepancy because a sofa appeared in the photo. The photo showed it closed, so apparently he expected guests to guess from that alone that it was a regular sofa. That makes no sense, and I didn’t feel they took me seriously. The problem was never resolved, so I had to sleep on an ordinary sofa despite paying for a sofa bed. I’ll report the issue to procon and Airbnb too. Airbnb should train its employees better.
