Renaissance São Paulo Hotel

The gym is fabulous, and the restaurant has a nice menu with decent vegetarian options. The location is great, and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is included for Elite Platinum SPG members, which is nice. I sometimes get frustrated when I don't receive a room upgrade, since the rooms here are on the small side.

We had a clean, comfortable corner room, with glass on two walls and a roomy bathroom. The breakfast bar was amazing, and our host was cheerful and welcoming. Ilia at the front desk was incredibly warm and welcoming, and gave us all the information we needed about the hotel and its services. The lobby bartenders helped us choose sake and made conversation that we enjoyed.

On our first visit to Renaissance Sao Paulo, the outgoing staff and wonderful views made for a great stay. This time, the view of the skyline was still uninterrupted, and we had a warm welcome from Beatrice and Milena at the front desk, with complimentary champaign, keys, and tips about nearby places in no time. The spacious, beautifully designed lobby, with its decor, bar, seating area, and sushi bar, was a great start. We stopped for a quick sushi lunch there. We didn't make it to the bar because we had other plans, but it often seemed lively, with what looked like quality drinks. Rabo di Galo and Seen were a few local recommendations. Our favorite part was Terraco Jardins, the ground-floor restaurant. Its brunch was so good that it's our new go-to eatery. Skipping this spot downstairs would be a real loss. The hotel also seemed to have just the right number of staff around to meet guests' needs. The room was where this visit fell short. It didn't seem fully cleaned when we arrived: there was a dead bug by the window, hair on the towels, no water in the mini bar, smudges on the dirty bathroom floor, and dust-bunnies on the carpet. We asked to have it cleaned on day two, but when we returned, things had only been tidied. The dirt, hair, and dead bug were still there. There was also constant noise, and the walls seemed thin. We could hear neighbors talking and, at 6:00am on Sunday, vacuums hitting the corners of the room above us. Maybe a higher floor or another room would have helped, but the noise and cleanliness issues definitely affected our stay. The view, personable staff, and world-class restaurant give Renaissance Sao Paulo a lot to celebrate. But a comfortable room and a good night's sleep matter most to us, so this visit gets 3/5. We'd still consider staying close enough to enjoy a relaxing brunch at Terraco Jardins.

After many stays here, it feels like a home away from home: relaxing, welcoming, and secure. The staff are attentive and helpful, and the hotel is centrally located by Avenida Paulista. Rooms are cozy, while the gym has exceptional machines, and there are also a SPA and pool. I've eaten here many times. The breakfast buffet is healthy, with a large selection of fruit, juices, and other healthy food. The Elite club has a great range of food and drinks, offers happy hour, and serves breakfast too. I totally recommend this place.
