The building felt secure, and I liked having a small gym on the ground floor and a pool, though the pool gets very little sun. The shower pressure was great. Getting to the track by Uber took around 30-40 minutes, and the center of São Paulo was about 20-30 minutes away. I stayed at Charlie Brooklyn Apartments for four nights over F1 weekend. Check-in was a hassle. I had to upload documents before arriving, and there’s no receptionist. Each time you enter, you have to use the intercom and speak Portuguese with a porter, which is hard if you’re not fluent. The room was basic, with no window insulation. Since it’s right beside a dual carriageway, there was noise at every hour, so light sleepers will need earplugs. It was mostly clean, but the bedding and towels had stains and needed changing. Support is only through WhatsApp. It’s available 24/7, but having no one on site was inconvenient. I asked for a hairdryer every day and never got one, and then there was a cleaning fee I hadn’t been told about when booking.

The room was tidy when I arrived, but there was mold on the bathroom ceiling and the water wouldn’t get hot. When I asked for help, I was sent to different contacts and told nothing could be done until the next day. Because of my allergy, I couldn’t stay there. We chose the studio for its value, but the experience fell short. They had said they’d send arrival instructions ahead of time, but didn’t, so I had to contact them several times on WhatsApp. Access to the shared areas requires asking at the front desk. I understand that’s for security, but it’s not very convenient. I’m leaving this review to let other guests know and to encourage improvements to maintenance, communication, and arrangements for people arriving by car, since there’s no parking.

The room was really clean and had a kitchen, and there’s a pool and gym on the ground floor, which is a nice bonus. Great hotel, I recommend it.

The apartment itself is good, but the check-in system and assistance were the worst I’ve ever experienced. They took an hour to approve a check-in that should have been ready four hours earlier.

The location was the best part, in a really nice area of São Paulo. Two good restaurants, a supermarket, and the Line 5 subway station are only steps away. The accommodation is in a building with double rooms and studio-style apartments with fairly well-equipped kitchenettes. Lovely place.
