The Hill Residence

We've made this our regular place to stay on our trips to Sao Paulo. The rooms are spacious, clean, and laid out well, and the kitchen works fine for light meals. There's a deli just down the block. Ask for a room at the back, since traffic makes the front ones noisy. The street is busy, so watch out when crossing. Breakfast is a free buffet with lots of choices. You can charge dinner to your room, and the grilled fish is wonderful. Room service is available during restaurant hours. The front desk staff are pleasant and very helpful. Have a translation app ready, since Portuguese is mainly spoken here. I'd stay again.

The room is enormous, which was the best part of my stay. The hotel itself is old, though. The bathroom wall grout is much too thick, and the elevator takes ages to close its doors. The small outdoor pool was freezing, and breakfast was simple. There isn't a nearby subway in this neighborhood.

The mattresses are extremely hard, which is the main downside. Otherwise, the rooms come with a couch, refrigerator, oven, TV, hair dryer, and plenty more. Breakfast is nice, and there's a gym and pool. There are also places to eat nearby.

It's the only option in this area. The bedrooms are spacious, but the hotel as a whole is very old, and the internet doesn't work well.
