All good.

We arrived at the inn at 10:00 on 22/04/18. We knew check-in was at 12:00, but asked if we could leave our bags in the room so we could go to the beach without keeping everything in the car. Sr. João let us, though he complained about it. We spent the day out and left nothing running in the room or fridge. That evening we stayed in, slept, and planned to leave around 06:00 the next morning to get up the road to Praia do Pontal do Atalaia in arraial do cabo. As we were getting ready, I saw Sr. João and said we'd be back by 12:00 to collect our things. He then told us we had to remove them by 09:00. It was the last day of the holiday, and nobody else was due to stay in our room. The check-in period was 12:00 to 12:00, but he said we'd have to pay another 50,00 reais just to leave our bags until noon. Sr. Joao was rude and seemed like a very poor businessman. We paid 150,00 for a daily stay with no breakfast, which he wanted to charge extra for. The whole thing left a bad impression, and I felt he showed no consideration for a customer. He made us leave at 09:00 just because we'd arrived early to drop off our bags, so we didn't even get 24 hours. A terrible person, Sr. João. The room had other problems too: the bathroom was awful, with no shower screen, so everything got wet, and there was no floor mat. The TV had 20 channels, but 19 of them were Globo. The Wi-Fi only worked when it felt like it. What a horrible experience. I would never recommend this inn.

For the price, this place is honest value, especially if you're not planning to spend much time at the inn. There’s a pool, barbecue area and a few games, and the breakfast covers the basics. The staff are very honest and attentive, and the area is the best value around. The room itself is very basic, with nowhere to put your clothes, so they have to stay in your suitcase. The toilet has an old plastic cistern, and the TV only gets Globo. If you want your room cleaned, leave the key and be specific about what you need.

A lot of the staff seemed unprepared for the job, and several times they spoke to us rudely. We were treated harshly by some employees, too. The room and bathroom were very poorly cleaned, with cobwebs everywhere, and the rooms weren't cleaned every day. It also felt like small repairs hadn't been done in years. Some air conditioners didn't work, and the bathroom door in our room was badly rotted and wouldn't close. I can't recommend it.
