Pousada Samambaia

The Saturday night disco party was a big hit with my family. The DJ and lovely decorations made it a really fun evening. I also loved the surprise birthday cake they brought out at breakfast. It warmed my heart and made a lovely memory for all of us. We chose the inn for its activities for the kids and to celebrate my birthday. There are five pools, including a heated one and one with a waterslide, plus lots of room for the children to run around and explore nature. Our suite was clean and tidy, with ceiling fans in both bedrooms. The bed, pillows, and blankets were new and worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the meals and portions were wonderful. The whole team deserves credit for their service and care. One suggestion for the managers: please keep the pools and restaurant open later. We arrived Friday around 5:30 p.m. after a three-hour drive, and the kids were eager to swim. We were told both the pool and restaurant closed at 6 p.m., so we had to go into town for dinner. If the inn's restaurant had still been open, we would have eaten there and spent a little time at the pool too. We’ll be back soon. A 10 out of 10.

The food was a lovely surprise, simple, tasty, and fairly priced. The inn itself is basic but comfortable, and every staff member was exceptional. We were welcomed with so much care. My birthday happened to fall during our stay, and they kindly brought out a surprise cake at dinner so we could sing happy birthday.

We had such a pleasant stay, and my whole family loved it. Everyone treated us with warmth and understanding. There are lovely pools, plenty of parking, and good food, and the team was attentive, polite, and clearly well trained. It’s one of those special little places. We’ll definitely come back.

It’s very peaceful here, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I do think the rooms need some maintenance. It would also be good to have a smoking area away from the pool, and for meals to be included in the room rates.
