Such a great place!

We really enjoyed our stay as a couple around New Year’s. There’s lots of greenery across the large property. We saw the fun side of the wildlife, like toucans and tree frogs, but didn’t have any worrying trouble with insects such as cockroaches or too many mosquitoes. We used repellent anyway, since it is nature. Our Standard chalet was simple, but everything worked well: a good bed, hot shower, TV with streaming access, and a minibar. There are 14 chalets, spread apart among the trees. We were in a group of three close-together bungalows, but still had plenty of privacy. The paths connecting everything were well lit, whether for cars or walking. Guests with mobility issues drove up from the bungalow to the common areas and parked above. If you’re up for a pleasant five-minute walk, it’s easy enough. I was worried about the dirt road before the trip, but it was manageable, including the steep stretch. It rained at night, yet everything was dry by morning. Inside the inn, the roads were stone or concrete, so cars could make it uphill in any weather. I’d seen Google comments saying smaller cars might struggle, but my small Onix had no trouble at all. Most of the other guests had dogs with them. I didn’t bring one, so I can’t speak from experience, but the dogs seemed to have a great time running on the lawn and relaxing by the pool with their owners. They could also join them in the restaurant. Everyone had their own spot, and it didn’t cause any issue with keeping the breakfast tables clean. The inn owners’ dogs were around too, and they were all very sweet. It’s a family-run place, and everyone was friendly and willing to help. We got good service whenever we had questions, wanted extras like drinks, afternoon food, or towels, or just wanted to chat about the town. We never lacked anything. Our half-board package included dinner, and the food really surprised us. The à la carte dishes, including ribs, pasta, and good-quality meat, were tasty and well made by a chef from the family. Prices weren’t unreasonable. They were naturally different from market prices because the inn is far away, but they felt fair for the quality. At lunch, people who stayed in instead of going into town enjoyed the poolside and ordered snacks, which were very well prepared too. We had a really good time. We spent five days there with our two pets and had an amazing time. They came home worn out from all the playing. The grounds are full of trees, rustic, and very well cared for. The meals and starters were so good that we never went out to eat. Our room was bungalow 5, with a rustic feel, a double bed, and a single bed. There’s no air conditioning, but the nights get pleasantly cool, so I didn’t miss it. The owners are the inn’s main strength. They’re very polite and welcoming. Luiz Eduardo is funny, cultured, and extremely polite, and the whole family is wonderful and blessed.

The shower pressure was very low and it wouldn’t get hot. Also, if you’re considering the bungalow with a tub, I wouldn’t recommend it. It took an hour to fill because the water pressure was so slow, and it made a lot of noise. The tap and controls were giving electric shocks, so they need to look into that. I’d also asked the day before for a room decoration, champagne, and rose petals to surprise my wife for our wedding anniversary. When we got to the room, none of what we’d arranged was there, which was frustrating.
