Chales Maresias

We stayed over the Christmas holiday. The chalet itself isn’t large, but the pousada has lots of room and is beautiful, well cared for, and quiet, with birdsong around. The owners are always ready to help. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the center, which suited me because I prefer somewhere restful. The stay includes drinking water from a dispenser, breakfast, little cakes during the day, bedding but no towels, a stove, fridge, air conditioning, fan, parking, a garden, a pool, and a good barbecue area. One note, the mattress is foam.

The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the atmosphere the owners have created feels intimate and welcoming. It was so easy to share things that it seemed like all the guests had known one another for years. It’s farther from the beach and center, though that wasn’t an issue by car. Remember to bring your own bed and bath linens.

My whole family loved everything, and my four-legged baby felt completely at ease. The hosts were very attentive. My kids were smitten with the pit bull, who was such a sweet, beautiful dog. Simply perfect, highly recommend.

A great setting for families, with clean, well-equipped chalets. There’s a stove, fridge, sink, air conditioning, fans, and a hot shower, plus an outdoor pool and barbecue area.
