The main things to know: breakfast was tasty but simple, and the nearest beach, Portinho, doesn’t have much in the way of facilities. There are other beaches nearby, though. I really recommend praia das cabras for both its facilities and swimming. Bring strong insect repellent, because the borrachudos really go after you. We had a very good stay. The rooms and bathrooms were huge and spotless, with a fridge, and they’ll provide a microwave if you ask. The pool was big, clean, and good. The ladies and Sr Flávio were wonderful and made us feel welcome. He was attentive, professional, and keen to help with everything we needed. It’s good value for money.

On a Monday, the inn called just two hours before check-in to CANCEL my reservation, saying they had no bed linen(?). Then they asked me to cancel it myself. Shameful.

Flávio and his staff gave us a fantastic welcome. Our room was spacious, spotless, and tidy, and breakfast was served poolside. It’s easy to get to praia do Portinho, and there’s a little market right next door.

The social areas felt welcoming, and we woke to birdsong every day. Fernando and his family looked after us with real warmth and care. Everything was clean and well maintained, from the comfortable bed and pillows to the soft, fresh-smelling towels. They also provided high-quality shampoo and soap. Breakfast was delicious, with an individual serving utensil for each guest to make it more hygienic. The internet was good, and the location was excellent.
