The kitchen staff were really friendly, and breakfast was good. The rooms are basic but clean, and the quiet setting is good for resting. There are nearby markets and pharmacies, though the beach by the inn isn’t very good and has no facilities, so you need to drive to another one. I was only passing through and stayed one day. Check-in was confusing: the receptionist said my room wasn’t ready, even though the check-in time had arrived, so we waited in reception. A man who seemed to be the owner arrived and pointed out that it was already time. She checked and found that the room had in fact been cleaned.

The place is comfortable and welcoming, simple but with good facilities. The small leisure area was clean, and breakfast was very basic. I had a really unpleasant interaction with one receptionist, though. He was extremely rude when explaining the rules for using the kayaks. Nobody had told us we needed to sign a liability form, and he handled the situation harshly. I complained to the manager, and I want to make clear here how unhappy I was with that employee.

I’ve been coming here for almost every vacation for more than 17 years, and I love everything about it. The owners are a lovely couple, and some employees have been here since the hotel opened, which is almost unheard of these days. Thank you to the whole team for this week with you. I hope I get the chance to spend another 17 years of vacations here. A big hug to everyone at hotel guarda mor.
