A Casa de Pedra Hostel

A good place to stay.

We’d stayed at this inn once before, and when we decided to return to São Thome for Carnaval de 2026, we naturally booked it again. It’s an incredible place, with lovely-smelling bed linens, delicious breakfast, and a wonderful setup. I recommend it and would happily come back anytime.

My wife and I stayed at casa da serra for five days. We chose it for the price, location, and photos, and it was just what we expected. The garden is beautiful and very well kept, and we were welcomed warmly. It’s less than a five-minute walk from the center and close to the lookout and pedra da bruxa. Room 13 has a lovely view, a soft mattress, and a hot shower. The Wi-Fi wasn’t stable, but that didn’t affect us much. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety. We’re looking forward to another chance to return.

The rooms are simple but very comfortable, and breakfast is delicious, especially the pão de queijo made by the sweet Dulce. The inn is well located near the Mirante, Pirâmide, Pedra da Bruxa, and the center. Manu and Estevão welcomed us with so much love. They’re very special people, and I strongly recommend staying in this blessed little spot. This was my first of many visits to São Thomé.
