Cissa made our stay in São Tomé even better. She’s caring and welcoming, and her cats are lovely company. The accommodations are cozy, and breakfast is delicious, with a beautiful view over the fields. I was extremely happy with the stay. Cissa also gave us great tips on places to visit and where to find cheap food. I REALLY recommend it 😁

I’m adding this because the pseudo guide’s reply to the review included a lot of lies. Three of us paid a total of R$ 12,00 for breakfast. That’s exactly what she was told, and it wasn’t coffee and toasted bread. She needs to pass along information as she receives it. A double room can fit five people, and only three girls were going to stay. When we asked to switch rooms so the boys could be on one side and the girls on the other, the bed suddenly became more expensive. All the conversations are recorded, including the mention of two guides and the later checkout time you said we could have so we could enjoy more of the day. And, dear, I demand your proof of the rappelling accident, because there was never any accident. Your recorded claim could cause you serious trouble. This is a warning: insult, defamation, slander, we can keep adding to the list, okay? I expect your record and proof of the facts.

You really feel at home here. It’s a wonderful, cozy place with a great breakfast, and the hostel owner is an incredible person. One of the best places to stay in São Thomé!

Cissa is such a lovely host, and she took us to see some of the area’s beautiful spots. The pousada is cozy and very well located. I highly recommend it!
