Pousada Morada da Praia

The location is excellent. The beach is across the street, there’s a BK less than 5 minutes away, and markets, restaurants, and bakeries are nearby. The shopping center is a 15-minute walk. We were looking for somewhere to spend the night around 1 a.m. and contacted Pamela at reception. She came from wherever she was to help us, and was incredibly attentive, polite, and understanding. The inn is simple, but it works well if you spend the day out and just want a comfortable place to sleep. We booked a room for four even though there were five of us, and Pamela quickly brought us an extra mattress. I was surprised to read comments about dirty bedding, because ours was clean and smelled of fabric softener. The room had air conditioning and a minibar, and every bed had a sheet and pillow. Great service, stay, and value. We’ll definitely be back.

It’s simple, with a reasonable breakfast, and very close to the beach. Fair for the price.

The reception was awful, and that’s what counts most to me. The location is pretty good, but the service ruined it. Now they also don’t want to reimburse me for what I paid for this room, which is more like a backyard shed. They told me it had air conditioning, but where was it? There wasn’t any. It was terribly hot, with blazing sun, and no air conditioning. I paid, and I want my rights.

One star is too generous. The service was bad, and reception wouldn’t try to resolve my partner’s issue. I wouldn’t stay here even for free when they treat you badly and the conditions are so poor, with heat and no air conditioning. I don’t recommend it.
