The noise was what finally made us leave early. A large group staying there partied both days, with loud music, a trampoline, barbecues, drinks, and people talking loudly around the pool and even during meals. We came to a quiet place away from everything to rest, so it was uncomfortable. We left after breakfast on our last day and gave up the rest of that night's stay. I won't be back. Finding reception was confusing. There were no signs after the entrance gate, and even after the guard pointed left, we only found it by following the music and realizing it was to the right, past the first suites. We had booked ahead, but staff couldn't find the reservation. I had to show messages from the number listed on Instagram, then save another number and send payment receipts. They said no room was available because a big group had booked for a birthday, despite our reservation. Eventually an attendant put us in a room and warned we might have to move the next day because it was under someone else's reservation. The room was dusty, with old cobwebs around the clothes and towel hooks, and had a stale smell whenever we came in. We kept the window closed for privacy because room 1 is behind reception, overlooking the hammocks and benches where people sat. We weren't told much about the place or its activities. We only got the breakfast hours, 8 to 10. The breakfast had few choices. My husband doesn't drink coffee, and the only alternative was watery juice that tasted like a cheap powdered mix. There were no child-friendly cakes like carrot or chocolate, just cassava cake, French bread, Plusvita bread, and small rolls. The second day I poured a coffee with milk that looked greasy and couldn't bring myself to drink it. The restaurant looks new, but meals cost a lot, from 40 to 75 reais. Chicken stroganoff was 50, beef was 55, and spaghetti bolognese was 40. There were plenty of fussy-sounding options that lacked flavor. My husband ordered a 75-real picanha steak, and it arrived cold. The waiter, who also worked at the gate, seemed nervous serving us, would come by quickly but not return unless called, and couldn't explain the menu. On the first day we ordered something thinking it was one dish at one price, but got something else; he hadn't explained that the item was a hamburger because the menu didn't say so. We didn't use any of the hotel's facilities because we wanted to leave from the moment we arrived.

The lakes, fishing, and animals make this a peaceful place to spend time with family, especially if you're hoping to relax and recharge. There's plenty of room outdoors, a pool and leisure areas, plus a full games room. The restaurant is lovely and cozy, and breakfast was generous and really well prepared. I've stayed at Hotel Fazenda Bela Riba four times, and each visit has been better than the last. The grounds are beautiful, spacious, well kept, and have a rustic feel that fits the surrounding nature. Sr. Carlos was a standout host, always attentive and committed to making sure guests were comfortable. The staff were all polite, helpful, and quick to lend a hand. It's a lovely spot for children and anyone looking for some quiet. It exceeded what I expected, and we'll definitely return. Strongly recommend it. Congratulations to the whole team at Hotel Fazenda Bella Riba for their great work.

The game room was the one bright spot, with some good games, though it smelled musty too. That smell seemed to be everywhere in the hotel, and every room had it. The TV was tiny and only had gospel channels or, for some reason, northeastern cattle auction channels. The air conditioning was weak, the bathroom drain wouldn't stay closed no matter what, and the sauna didn't work. The grounds felt dirty and underused, and getting there was really difficult. During a shower, a spider fell onto my girlfriend's back. That may not have been the hotel's fault, but it still matters. Spend the money on games, car parts, or ten trips to Outback. Whatever. This place isn't worth it.

Fishing was the part that saved our stay. The hotel has large, beautiful lakes, though the gear they provide is very basic, just bamboo poles for small fish close to shore. We had to go into town to buy a reel, line, and hooks. We were also interested in the farm's trails, but there were no signs, so we couldn't tell whether we could cross the fences or if the trails were just paths left by the construction crew. We didn't see any animals either, which seemed odd for a farm hotel. Our presidential suite was very comfortable, with a great bed, a spacious two-room layout, and a renovated bathroom with a lovely tub. You can tell the place has had good investment in the past, but outside the room there are lots of things needing attention. Maintenance is lacking, and the biggest issue was the lack of cleaning. The mini golf course among the fruit trees was covered in leaves, overgrown weeds, standing water, and even capybara droppings on one hole. The pool was dirty, so we didn't feel like using it. The games house stayed locked, and everything had to be requested or asked about. Room cleaning only happened if requested, though at a hotel I expect it daily. The gym is open and gets dirty easily, but a quick wipe of the equipment and floor before guests arrive would help. Food was the hardest part. We tried to order pizza on the first night, but they didn't have ingredients for different flavors. We were told the cook hadn't come in and wouldn't be there the next day either. Since the hotel is isolated, we worried when only simple snacks and appetizers were being served. The menu was disorganized, and when we asked about prices they seemed arbitrary. We ate all our meals outside the hotel for the rest of the stay. A horseback ride also turned out to cost extra, R$ 100 per person for an hour, which we only learned after arriving. There was little useful information at reception about activities, schedules, or spaces. Guests had to ask about everything. Houses are being built on the property now, and there was a lot of construction noise. It felt like management's attention was on that new project and the hotel was being neglected. Breakfast was average and could be improved. The place has a lot of potential, but in its current state I wouldn't return or recommend a long stay. Better cleaning, upkeep, organization, and staff training would make a big difference.
