Pousada Algas Marinas

Awesome!

The pizzas were the highlight. We were eight people and the pizzerias in the Center were all packed, so we went into Algas Marinas after spotting its lovely garden and cozy Italian tavern feel. We ordered calabresa, four cheese, margherita, and chicken pizzas, and all four were delicious. The staff treated us really well too. I wasn't staying there, just came for the pizza. Highly recommend.

It’s a cozy place in a great location, even though there’s no luxury. The hosts were very attentive, and it’s peaceful with the beach just across the street. Well worth a stay.

The pizza was decent and the price was good, but there was so much thick, bread-like crust that it filled us up before we could really taste the toppings. We tried the Marguerita and chicken. They looked lovely and the filling seemed good, though they no longer offer whole wheat dough even though it’s still listed on the menu. Getting a table together for six took a little effort, but the friendly staff helped us sort it out. While we were sitting outside, it was hard to get anyone’s attention, so we had to go in and ask. They should also have separate Google Maps listings for the restaurant and hotel.
