Spazio Itauna Hostel

The inn is very clean, well located, and fairly priced. We’ll definitely come back.

The staff are polite, professional, and welcoming, and the inn is lovely. Its location is perfect if you’re going to Itauna. I’ll be back again!

We got back to the inn around 9:30 p.m. after spending the day at the beach and going out for dinner, and found the entrance locked with the security bolt near the ground. My husband had bought a package for the weekend through Monday, January 15, and this was January 14. We called the inn several times and kept ringing the intercom, but no one answered or opened the door. It was really embarrassing. Two neighbors watched us the whole time, apparently trying to see what we would do. After nearly 40 minutes, a guest came downstairs to buy a snack. We had to explain what was going on, since he didn’t know whether he should let us in either, and show him our key to prove we were guests. The sign says reception is open 24 hours. Why was the entrance bolted while the people responsible for reception were asleep? Why didn’t the bell alert anyone, and why was nobody answering the phone? What I remember from the inn is the embarrassment of having to explain ourselves to a stranger who saved us from having to find somewhere else to sleep, and of being watched by a neighbor as if we might be trying to break in. Also, the bathroom drain was clogged.

It’s very well located, and we felt at ease there. The place could use some attention, as it’s a little neglected, but overall it was very good.
