The hotel was clean, very good, and the people were friendly. VIVER Pousada Club & Restaurante has an outdoor pool, free private parking, a garden, a restaurant, a bar, room service, and free WiFi throughout. It’s about a 14-minute walk from Itauna Beach in Saquarema. Vila is within 1.4 miles, Vilatur Beach is 1.8 miles away, and Canhao Square is 1.1 miles away. Cabo Frio International Airport is 33 miles from the property. Itaúna Beach is especially known for its beautiful, powerful waves, and Saquarema is considered Brazil’s surfing capital. The beach is very nice, and there are even better places to eat nearby, with good food, friendly people, and it’s usually easy to find a good spot. Rio de Janeiro is close, around 62.2 miles or a 1-hour-32-minute drive.

We had a hard time getting a good night’s sleep because the restaurant is right by the suites, with events, sports broadcasts, and loud music. Breakfast was very basic, with no water and little variety. Our first suite’s air conditioning wouldn’t cool. The staff member was helpful, but seemed to suggest we didn’t know how to turn it on. It took two hours before he confirmed it was broken, then moved us to another suite. That one was clean and comfortable, but the shower kept dripping and made bathing unpleasant. We checked out a little early, and they didn’t offer us extra time after the two hours spent in the heat. We weren’t asked to sign anything when leaving. It wasn’t a good experience, and I wouldn’t recommend it or return.

What a mess. I’ve never seen a place so disorganized, and it wasn’t worth the price at all. The location was bad too. The pastéis cost 35 reais for four cocktail-sized pieces, and they were greasy. I couldn’t eat the main course because it never arrived. The waitress was nice and tried to help, but one person can only do so much. I also saw other guests complaining.

It’s really well located, just a few minutes by car from both downtown and Itauna Beach. The inn has a great setup, with the restaurant, pool, and multi-sport court all fitting together nicely. The staff were friendly and helpful across the board. We’ll be back!

The room had everything we needed, and the bed was excellent. The pool was wonderful too, and the food was delicious. I want to come back!
