Hotel Belo Horizonte

Bad.

I was told the room rate was R$ 120,00 when I arrived. I bought a few items during my stay, and R$ 142,00 was charged to my card in total. The attendant charged that amount twice, and we agreed the difference would come off a future stay. At checkout, they said I had to pay R$ 100,00 for a copy of a simple key because I’d left mine at my workplace. I went to get the original key and returned it, so there was no need to make a copy. I asked for the R$ 22,00 that had been wrongly charged to be refunded, but I still haven’t received it despite trying to contact them. I felt cheated as a customer and felt there was bad faith in how these situations were handled, especially with no resolution or response. Based on this experience, I don’t recommend the hotel.

I was satisfied with my stay and give it five stars. The hotel is good, and breakfast was reasonable, though nothing special.

The breakfast was reasonable, but the rest of my stay was one of my worst lodging experiences. The receptionist showed little empathy, the room walls were dirty, and there were soap remnants in the toilet, plus hair and grime on the floor. The shower area had nowhere to put soap or shampoo. I definitely don't recommend it.
