Sitio da Calma

I love everything about Sítio da Calma, especially the homemade breads and jams they make there. Ricardo and Patrícia always give me such a lovely welcome. I come back whenever I can because I feel at home and connected to nature there. It's a wonderful experience.

The meals were all homemade, natural, and delicious, and breakfast deserves a whole constellation of stars. The juices, jams, and ice creams were wonderful too. We enjoyed the easygoing atmosphere, with good conversation, birdsong, nature, and a lot of warmth. Patricia, Ricardo, and Bia treated us with so much love and kindness while sharing Sítio da Calma with us. Such a beautiful, positive retreat! We took a boat with Severino to Praia dos Carneiros, across the water, about four kilometers from Sítio da Calma. It's a pretty beach, but very crowded. We came back quickly to Barra do Sirinhaem, where Sítio da Calma is, because we found the beaches on this side even prettier, cleaner, and wonderfully peaceful. I recommend it so much!

Finding the place can be tricky because there are very few signs, so be careful driving there at night. Once you arrive, though, it's incredibly peaceful. Sleeping in a chalet among cashew trees that must be a hundred years old or more was amazing, and some of the sweets they make with cashews are great. The family is attentive, helpful, very smart, and excellent cooks. Breakfast was complete, with homemade bread, one of the tastiest egg frittatas I've ever had, an appetizing tray of northeastern Brazilian fruits, different juices, coffee, and milk. The bathroom was big and the bed was lovely. Definitely worth checking out!

The place really lives up to its name. So quiet and peaceful! Patrícia and Ricardo are the best hosts I've come across, with service that's second to none. Bia is a sweetheart too and makes the place even cheerier. The food was delicious, the room comfortable, and the service perfect. The price felt fair, and it was just what I needed. Highly recommend!
