We confirmed a booking for two nights in a triple room after arranging it over WhatsApp. Communication was slow and poor from the start, but they quoted R$340 for the whole stay and confirmed that total when I double-checked. A few days before we arrived, I asked to switch to a double room. They said it was possible, though they never gave me the new price. At check-in, we were told the total was R$560, or R$280 per night, which didn’t match what had been confirmed on WhatsApp. The receptionist, who never introduced herself, tried to get us a discount but couldn’t. I paid, then came back to ask about the difference. She kept interrupting us and said another employee had made a communication error on WhatsApp. We also asked if the hotel stayed open around the clock so we could return after going out, and she said it did. But when we got back a little after midnight, the doors were locked. We rang and called repeatedly, and after about 20 minutes outside, the same receptionist opened the door, apparently having been woken up. When we were leaving, she was asleep again and we had to wait. I asked to speak with the owner or someone responsible, but she said he didn’t live there. I explained how unhappy I was with the service and the problems during our stay, but she didn’t seem to care much. It was a terrible experience. They need to improve communication among staff and with customers, and show more courtesy and empathy. It also seemed clear that they didn’t have enough employees, since the same receptionist was there at every hour during our two-night stay. There should be shifts to prevent problems like being locked out at night. I won’t return, and I wouldn’t advise anyone to put up with this.

The daily rate covers 24 hours, in accordance with the law. Great place and great service. I highly recommend it!

The staff were attentive and everything was well organized, which made the stay even better. I loved how the decor is filled with artwork, with every detail feeling inspiring and musical, almost like being in a gallery. It was a wonderful stay, and this place is especially lovely if you enjoy art. I’ll come back when I’m in Sobral again.
