The pool bar deserves a mention: although there was just one employee, the food was amazing, and the drinks were great too. I’d recommend the portions, sandwiches, and fries. Breakfast was good the next morning, though it took a while for them to refill the dishes at the réchaud. Dinner at the main restaurant was a letdown. The soup was cold, the pasta was hard, the sauces had no flavor, and the desserts were just okay. I got the impression different cooks handle breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The hotel made a good first impression, especially for families with kids or pets, or anyone wanting a place in the woods. It’s spacious, with lots of attractions, and monitors can keep children company if adults want some time alone, though I’d say kids need to be around six or older for that. Our room was where things went downhill: the sink leaked, there was a dusty smell, and the soundproofing was poor. If your neighbors are loud, you’ll hear them, and they’ll hear you too. Bring allergy medicine if you need it. We had good references because my wife spent time here as a child, and I’d go back, but I’d probably bring food to prepare in some rooms for lunch or head into town to eat.

The kids’ activities were a real help. The staff were great with the children and kept them entertained, which gave us a chance to relax and have some adult time. This seems like a good choice for a family trip: the rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the staff were accommodating. The food was delicious, with plenty of fresh, well-prepared options for everyone, including children. I especially liked the desserts. There were leisure activities and live music too. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to families looking to make good memories together.
