Pousada Jardim do sol

I booked the place through Booking as "Pousada Linda," but on Google it's listed as "Pousada Jardim do Sol." Despite being called a pousada, it doesn't offer 24-hour service such as reception or room service, or breakfast. It's worth setting expectations before booking. Communication over WhatsApp was polite and helpful. The listing didn't show parking, but when I asked, I was told there was one space available for R$ 15,00 per day, which was a plus. I booked based on photos of room 3, but we stayed in room 2, which had a different layout. The Google photos are a better match for that room. It was compact, with a mezzanine bed and a narrow staircase that could be uncomfortable for some people. Ventilation was limited. Even with a fan, the room felt a little stuffy and noisy. There was a TV, but no free-to-air channels were connected. We managed to watch Globo by logging in to our Globoplay account. The bathroom had no ventilation, which may be a concern. Basic items in the room included towels, a sachet of soap and shampoo, 2 plates, 2 sets of cutlery, 2 glasses, 1 microwave, 1 mini-fridge, 2 pillowcases, a fitted sheet with tears along the sides, and 1 blanket. Pets are allowed, though it may not be the most comfortable place for them. It could work for a short stay, but I personally wouldn't return. In response to the owner: Hello, I want to clarify that I never said I was treated badly or received in a negative way. My review was only about the difference between the Booking photos and the space where I stayed. The listing showed a room with no stairs and the bed on the same level, so I expected something a little different. The sheet had a tear. The room had only one front-facing window and a floor fan, so it got quite stuffy, especially in the intense heat that day. I know the listing says breakfast isn't provided. I only mentioned it because some people might expect that amenity from a place called a "pousada." It wasn't a criticism, just something for people looking for that kind of service to keep in mind. I understand there are different kinds of accommodation at the property and that guests can have different impressions and reviews. Mine reflects only my own experience. Booking said pets were allowed, so I brought my dog, a regular mixed-breed, but they stopped me at the door and said pets weren't allowed. They blamed Booking for listing it incorrectly, and no one had told me during any of our contact that I couldn't bring a pet. I was left out on the street. The service was awful. They wouldn't even give me a room to sit in while I looked for somewhere else.

It was great. Everything was clean, the place was quiet, and I was able to leave the car on the street. The host was very helpful.

I stayed five days at Pousada Jardim do Sol in Sorocaba, and it was a calm, practical stay. My room had a comfortable double bed, fridge, sink, dining table, and microwave, which made it easy to prepare simple things. The space suited my needs well, especially with those useful basics. The pousada is in a quiet area. It's simple but functional. Some details, like maintenance or extra comfort, could be improved, but nothing got in the way of my stay. For a short visit, it's a practical place with a good basic setup.
