The staff were friendly throughout, though the service seemed to improve once the guesthouse got busy. It was very quiet midweek, and having to preorder breakfast felt odd. Our room also wasn’t quite ready when we arrived. The rooms are charming and the location is great, but it wasn’t perfect. I’d suggest weekends or holiday periods, especially for couples. Families may find the room a bit small. Adding an extra bed was quoted first at 300 reais total, then 300 per night, which seemed strange. It should be free or cost very little.

The restaurant was one of the two best we tried during our three weeks in Brazil. Congratulations to the chef! The hotel itself is calm and lovely, with super friendly, helpful staff. Sitting on the room terrace and listening to the waves was amazing.

We booked every room for a weekend in Taiba. The facilities were amazing, and having good breakfast and lunch right there was convenient.

I only ate at the rooftop restaurant and didn’t stay. Miguel was lovely and the location is nice, but the food was shockingly poor. The ceviche and steak were good, and the shrimp were okay, but the lobster was chewy, the octopus inedible, and the paella bad. They served water in tiny bottles. I’d avoid it if you want a good meal.

I live in Taiba and have only eaten at the restaurant, so I can’t comment on the lodging. It’s a beautiful restaurant in a striking location, but the food was terrible and far too expensive.
