Pousada Sunset Beach Tatajuba

The setting is excellent, but the restaurant didn't match the hype for me. We've eaten there twice: some dishes were great, while others disappointed, and the coconuts came out warm and sour, so we had to ask for replacements. During a citywide power cut it was the only place open, but they still turned us away because we had no cash, even though we offered other ways to pay.

The sunset is amazing, and the food is really good. But one of the women serving us, Jane or Josi, was rude when we wanted to move tables to sit with our friends. I had to tell her she couldn't speak to customers that way. Your experience may depend on whether you're served by her.

The people working there bring such great energy, and they're ready to help whether you're just getting a couple of coconuts or sitting down for a full dinner. The atmosphere is hard to beat. This is my second year visiting Tatajuba, and I always come to Sunset Beach for kite surfing, plus food and drinks. Hernan for president! Now! Rapido! 🤣❤️🙏 Very good!

The pousada is awful, even though the restaurant itself is nice and the staff are friendly. My apartment was worn out, with broken showers and toilets. There was no water for a quarter of my stay and no electricity for half of it, while nearby places had both. They still charge $100 or more per night. I wouldn't recommend it.
