ibis Taubate

The room worked well for my family and me, and breakfast was outstanding. The morning staff were lovely. We only stayed one night, and the experience was just okay overall. Making the reservation was frustrating: when I called, they asked me to finish it over WhatsApp, then took five hours to reply. At check-in, the receptionist seemed unprofessional and took a long time.

We ended up staying longer because of an illness, but we still remember the hotel fondly. The staff made us feel welcome and were kind and helpful throughout. Ismael, the manager, gave us a lot of support: he arranged for a doctor, helped us get medicine, showed us where to go, and interpreted for us since he speaks English. He checked in regularly and became someone we could rely on and confide in. We appreciated his attentiveness very much.

The breakfast had plenty of good options, and the location in Taubaté is convenient. The towels were very poor quality, though. If you're traveling for business, ask for a room with a desk and chair. The valet attendants could speak at least a little English.

The lobby lighting was poor, and the reception area and tables were often in bad shape. The installations and towels felt old. This was my first and last time at this Ibis Taubate.
