Beach Houses

I complained about the room my wife and I were given, and they moved us to another one with fewer problems, though that room had issues too. In the first room, the toilet seat was broken, the ceiling had damp patches, the mattress was old, the shower flow was weak, and wiring ran along the wall. We paid around 500 reais for two nights, and it didn’t feel worth it for such an uncomfortable stay. I can’t recommend it.

The inn is about 250 meters from the main street, and breakfast is good, though quite basic. The rooms have no particular luxury, the decor feels generic, and the air conditioner struggled to cool a room that size. The mattress seemed very old as well. The management changed recently, so I think they may still sort out some things that need improvement.

The location is convenient, near both the center and the way to the beach. The chalets, though, have a lot of cockroaches, and the building itself doesn’t feel well put together. The air conditioner never cooled enough, and the accommodation wasn’t worth what they charged. There’s no reception at night either, so you have to call the number posted on the main door to get someone.

The cleaner was very nice, though the receptionist came across as a little unfriendly. Our room was at the back of the inn and didn’t get much light. The bathroom sink was broken and leaking, and upstairs the mezzanine with the double bed had cobwebs and dirty glass.
