Pousada âncora Pipa

The location really makes this cozy pousada stand out. It’s under five minutes on foot from Pipa’s main street. Breakfast tasted great, though there wasn’t much to choose from. My room was very basic, and I missed having a TV. There was also no vent in the bathroom. Still, it felt like good value for the price.

For a place to sleep while you get ready to enjoy Pipa’s beaches and town, the location and affordable price work well. Breakfast was tasty and had a bit of variety. The cost is low, which makes it a reasonable base for that purpose. I wouldn’t choose it to spend time enjoying the pousada itself. The facilities are old, there’s no leisure area, and the rooms are plain. I didn’t like the bathroom, and the towels we got looked stained, so I wondered if they were clean. Reception wasn’t welcoming on the day we arrived, although another employee took over later and treated us very well.

We ended up looking for another place, which caused a lot of hassle. The room’s air conditioning wasn’t working when we arrived around 4 pm during the hot season, and we were told the maintenance team could only check it the next day. The bathroom toilet lid was broken, and the minibar was in poor condition too. The lack of upkeep and no immediate fix made for a disappointing stay.

A really nice spot, very close to the village center. We were treated well.
