Araújo Bazilio Pousada Tiradentes

The inn was welcoming and comfortable, and the breakfast team deserves a special mention. Rafael, Elizete, Surimara, and Janine gave us spectacular service. Rafael made the best tapioca I’ve ever had. It was raining hard, so Janine made a wonderful broth and gave our group the option of having dinner at the inn instead of going into the center. Receptionist Hugo was attentive and managed to help everyone.

The staff were helpful and very polite, and the inn is wonderful. Breakfast deserves special praise: there was plenty, and it was delicious, with pies, cakes, jams, crepes, tapioca, and more, all lovingly made by the house chef. The only thing that might have made the stay even better is a heated pool, haha. The brave ones can enjoy the lovely cold pool and its incredible waterfall. I recommend it.

The pool and sauna are great, and the inn has excellent facilities. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, with wooden floors. Breakfast is complete, and the staff are very helpful. It’s easy to get to, with convenient, ample parking.

I’ve stayed at this inn at least four times over the years, but sadly the standard has dropped a lot. We booked a suite expecting comfort and ran into serious problems. The worst part was breakfast: tiny fruit flies swarmed over the fruit and all across the buffet table. It was impossible to eat without constantly shooing them away. The rest of the food seemed okay, but the overall hygiene left us worried. There was also no water on Saturday night or Sunday. They said air had gotten into the pipes, but maintenance took so long that we checked out without being able to shower. We won’t be back.
