Pousada Casa Do Alemão

The location is handy, less than a 10-minute walk from the center and right across from the beach. There’s a private deck where guests can sit in the sun, but no bar or restaurant service. The rooms are spacious, though they need some maintenance. In room 6, the toilet flush was very loud, there was an awful smell from the toilet, and the cleaning could use more attention. My daughter’s extra bed was set up on the floor, which we hadn’t been told about. Breakfast was generally good, but when something ran out at the buffet, nothing was replenished unless you asked, which I found awkward. No one mentioned that we could separately order omelets, tapioca, or scrambled eggs. The reception staff also weren’t very helpful or friendly. I’d give it a 7 out of 10. This is meant as constructive feedback so they can improve.

We traveled as a family and really loved the pousada. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable, and they provide towels for the beach or pool. It’s in a great spot, right in front of a calm sea that’s lovely for swimming. The whole team were kind and polite, and breakfast was generous. We truly enjoyed it!

Breakfast is very good, but that’s all the pousada offers. There are no snacks, juice, ice cream, chocolate, or anything like that, just soda, beer, and water. We had to go out for everything.

Really poor service. I messaged to ask for information and got a response, but when I asked something else, the attendant just sent the same message again and said the answer was already there. Anyone working with the public needs patience, calm, and a willingness to help. I’m sorry that this person, for lack of a better word, gets to work in such a cozy, beautiful place. The person I spoke with that morning, Sr Ederlio, gets 100; the other attendant gets 0.
