My friend, ask the bus driver to leave that bus farther back or park it somewhere else. It completely blocks the view for drivers coming out of the side street. There was an accident today because visibility on the left was blocked, exactly where that bus sits. How many accidents have to happen before you take some kind of action?

The one thing in its favor is the location. It’s near the center and the lagoon (rio Tramandaí), and reasonably close to the beach. Everything else about the service was awful. The hotel website advertised breakfast and parking, but both cost extra. Parking was also shared, with fewer spaces than cars. If your car was behind another, you had to leave the key at reception; if it was along the wall, another driver could block you in. We paid R$ 150,00 per night, much more than at other guesthouses, and I felt the hotel paid no attention to its guests. The staff who dealt with us were kind and polite, but that wasn’t enough to make up for the problems. The TV in our room was an old tube set that wouldn’t turn on, though that wasn’t the most important thing to us. The shower control was broken. When we told the staff, they suggested it might have been stolen and lent us pliers so we could try fitting an old replacement, but that didn’t work either. The shower wiring was nearly catching fire. I was the only one who got a hot shower at first. My friend had a cold one, and despite the staff saying they’d fix it, we had cold showers for the rest of our stay because we were afraid of an electrical short. There were two single beds, but the room was so small they were almost pushed together.

The location was good, but the stay wasn’t worth the price. Our room didn’t look like the photos, there were no bath or face towels, and the bathroom was neglected and smelly. The ceiling fan barely worked, the TV signal was awful, and the water kept cutting out whenever we turned on a tap or the shower. We waited more than 15 minutes at reception to check in, and parking was charged separately without warning. The mattress was poor, and breakfast wasn’t worth R$15,00 for the small amount served. It was also delayed by 30 minutes because they had to wait for the bakery to open to buy bread, even though other bakeries open earlier.

We booked through booking.com with no advance payment and breakfast included. A few days before the trip, they called asking for half the stay upfront. I said that wasn’t what we’d agreed when we booked, but they called again and sent payment reminders on WhatsApp. We paid in advance because we were afraid of losing the reservation. When we arrived, they told us breakfast cost R$15,00. The room looked more like a hostel room. With two of us there, one had to sit on the bed just so the other could stand, it was that small. The bathroom had no shower enclosure, so every shower flooded the whole floor. At least they left a squeegee for you to push the water around while bathing. I didn’t even argue about breakfast after seeing the room, since I wasn’t keen to eat there anyway. We’ll never go back.
