The location is good, but the prices are way too high, including R$8 for water. Check in also took a long time because the guy at the front desk was very slow.

There was extensive water and moisture damage in the room, and bathroom fixtures were missing. The light fixtures looked like they were barely hanging on. The bed linen was both insufficient and dirty, and the AC wasn't working at full power.

The staff were really nice and did their best to make our stay pleasant, though no one spoke English. Without my Brazilian fiancée, I wouldn't have been able to communicate with them. Service wasn't bad, and the room was okay. Breakfast was okay too, but the WiFi didn't work. Every few hours or so, a train passed beneath our window and blew its horn, even in the middle of the night, so I couldn't sleep properly. Of course, that wasn't the hotel's fault.

We were pleasantly surprised by how clean and great the room was for the price. In the pousadas we stayed at over the last two weeks, we paid almost twice as much and got much less.
