The breakfast was impeccable, with cuscuz made with coconut milk, delicious tapioca, fruit, and really good coffee. The hotel was spotless, and it had a warm, family feel. My family and I loved the welcome, the setting, and breakfast. It's in a good location, right across from a pleasant square. We felt at home and want to come back and stay there again.
Tutóia is a very nice city, with a family-run place to stay at Pousada salinas. You can explore the Lençoēs maranhenses, with beaches, dunes, and natural lagoons, and try local seafood like pescada amarela and white shrimp. There are also wonderful trips around the delta das Américas, also known as the delta do Parnaíba. Stops include ilha da melancieira for a swim, seahorses, the ship cemetery, and the beautiful flight of the guarás.
We were welcomed so warmly at Pousada Salinas by Sandro and his sister Renata. It's a pleasant, family-friendly place in a good location for wonderful outings. Breakfast was delicious, with fruit, and served in a cozy setting. I recommend it.
The location is excellent, right in the city center with police presence nearby, plus snack bars and restaurants close by. This is a simple family-run inn, but it's very cozy. Renata gave me a wonderful welcome when I arrived, and I soon met her father, the owner, and her mother. The rooms are simple but clean. Breakfast is served in a charming space, and all the food is prepared there. I recommend it.
The room felt small for the price, and there was no hot water. The shower stall fell on me, though luckily it was plastic, and I put it back myself. The owner and staff were very polite and nice, and the service was really good. Breakfast was very good too. Nice atmosphere and a good location.
