It was okay.

Nothing special.
The service is really good, and prices are reasonable for Ubatuba. It’s not the prettiest place, but it has what you need for a fun night. There’s no parking lot, though plenty of spots on the nearby street. There are separate bathrooms for men and women; lines are rare, but that could still be improved. If a simple setting works for you, you’ll have a good time here. As a bar, it’s great for a night out. Come early for a cold beer and a conversation, because after midnight it gets crowded, tables are hard to find, and the live music makes talking difficult. If you’re after more of a party bar, show up after midnight. The music is good, the beer is cold, and the crowd is friendly, with things going until daylight. I haven’t stayed at the hostel or known anyone who has, and I don’t even know the price, so I can’t comment on the accommodation. The owners seem like really nice people, though, and it could be a good place to stay with a bar right outside at night.
Forró fans, this is the spot. It’s small and no-frills, but once the band starts playing, everybody’s dancing. Things get going pretty late, so it’s a good option if you like to keep the night going.
The owner is attentive, but the place needs better management and more attention to cleaning the rooms and bathroom. It rained and the kitchen flooded. If the guests hadn’t mopped up the water, it would have reached the rooms and soaked our things. Ubatuba gets a lot of rain, so this shouldn’t be a surprise.
